Besom Barn is the perfect base for a cosy Northumberland getaway. Whether it's the wilderness of the National Park, the history of the region's many castles or the bustle of the beatiful towns and villages...you'll never be too far away when staying here.
Besom Barn is a well proportioned, studio-style, single storey cottage that makes the perfect little bolt-hole for couples looking to see the best of Northumberland. Inside you will find a spacious living area, with a log-burning fire and a generous supply of logs for those cosy evenings in. In addition there is a flat screen TV, DVD player and a selection of books. Behind the living area, a generously sized bed awaits as well as a wardrobe and dressing table.
The kitchen area in Besom Barn is a good size if you decide to stay in and cook a meal for two. As well us the usual hob, grill and oven you will find a microwave, fridge with freezing compartment, a kettle, a toaster and a coffee maker as well as a generous selection of kitchen implements and utensils. The dining area contains a sturdy wooden dining table and chairs.
The beautifully refurbished bathroom, with under-floor heating, provides a large shower area, sink and WC.
Externally Besom Barn guests benefit from private parking and use of the garden that belongs to the owners, whose property adjoins the cottage.
A small welcome pack of locally sourced and homemade goodies will be waiting for you on arrival at Besom Barn.
The cottage has central heating as well as the wood burner, the cost of which, along with the provision of bed linen and towels, is included in the price.
Besom Barn is a dog-friendly property and as such the owners will be happy for you to bring your dogs away on holiday with you.
Local Area
Besom Barn is just a two-minute drive from the fabulous little village of Longframlington, which is crammed full of everything you would expect from a traditional, bustling, Northumbrian village. Excellent bar meals and a great range of beers can be found in The Village Inn and The Grandby Inn.
The village has a great array of local shops such as the butchers, the newsagent and the general store which sells just about everything! There is also a large village green with play area, tennis court and football goals for youngsters and a large enclosed dog walking area.
Such is the brilliant location of Besom Barn, with the Northumberland National Park, encompassing the Cheviot Hills, on your doorstep, you will never be far from some of the most beautiful walking and cycling trails this country has to offer.
You are also less than a 30-minute drive from Northumberland's Heritage Coast and its designated area of outstanding natural beauty. It certainly won't take you long to realise why it's classified as such when you see some of the magnificent sandy beaches and the beautiful coastal towns and villages.
The town of Alnwick is also just a 20-minute drive away and its fabulous castle and gardens are certainly a 'must see'!

Besom Barn offers a very straightforward pricing structure of £85 per night with a two night minimum stay all year round and changeover can be any day of the week.
Rental rates are for the entire property.

All bookings made more than six weeks in advance of your stay will require a deposit payment of 25% of the rental cost, plus a small 5% booking fee, with balance being due six weeks prior to your stay. All bookings made within six weeks of your stay will require payment to be made in full at the time of booking.
